Braces Invisalign is also known as the invisible brace. Thanks to its many benefits, this plastic aligner has become a popular alternative to the more common braces. At Astondental, we can help you achieve aligned and straight teeth using the invisible brace.
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign uses a series of invisible and removable plastic splints to straighten your teeth. This gives you a more comfortable and less painful option. Another advantage that many people appreciate is that, unlike metal braces, the plastic splints can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing, another advantage is that the treatment is shorter compared to traditional orthodontics and you rarely have to pull a tooth. The whole process of Invisalign takes on average 9-18 months, with you usually visiting your dentist every 6 weeks.
How does Invisalign work?
Prior to your treatment plan, you will discuss the final result with Dr.Shahla Hassanzadeh. Once your case has been submitted to Invisalign, you will see a 3D model, called a Clincheck, of your teeth before and after treatment. Together you will review this to make sure it matches the desired result.
Each aligner is then worn for about 1-2 weeks each, until your teeth reach their final position. Some short-term irritation may occur each time you change the plastic tray. However, this discomfort is significantly less than that with traditional metal braces. You may also experience minor speech difficulties, but this will not lasting long.

Many people think that Invisalign costs much more than traditional braces. Surprisingly, however, prices are relatively stable. The cost of Invisalign is slightly higher than more traditional and tooth-coloured braces, this is due to the laboratory fee.
For minor deviations, veneers may be an alternative treatment. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us and we will arrange a meeting to determine your needs.
