Dental implants Stockholm

Dental implants have many benefits and include the ability to replace single lost teeth as well as entire toothless jaws with a natural and durable solution. One of the significant benefits of dental implants is that they provide a firm and stable tooth replacement, eliminating the need to grind down existing teeth, which is often necessary when using traditional bridges. In addition, you avoid unnecessary strain on your remaining teeth, as is the case with dentures.

How long does it take to get a dental implant?

If you have healthy surrounding teeth, we always recommend the following dental implants. We work according to the latest technology, which means that only one operation is needed and that you do not have to wait longer than 2-6 weeks for your new teeth. The implant treatment is carried out at our clinic in central Stockholm by our experienced dentist Shahla Hassanzadeh. We manufacture your dental implant crowns in ceramic materials according to the CAD-CAM method. This gives you teeth that fit very precisely in your tooth row and do not interfere with the remaining teeth. Already after 2-4 months you can chew again.

How much do dental implants cost?

The cost of dental implants varies for several reasons. First, it depends on your individual situation and needs. Secondly, the price is affected by the type of implant needed. If you are eligible for high-cost protection, you may also have part of the cost of treatment covered by Försäkringskassan. Before we start any treatment, you will always receive a detailed cost estimate and a full cost overview.

The loss of one or more teeth is a circumstance that can have a significant impact on an individual's physical and psychological well-being. Traditional and uncomfortable dentures are not always the optimal choice for all patients. As a professional dentist with a dedicated team at Astondental, we strive to offer our patients a natural and aesthetically pleasing result.

We create your new smile using Digital Smile Design - the latest in aesthetic dentistry to give the best results.

Dental implants with perfect results

Dental implants can replace the loss of both single teeth and completely toothless jaws, with a natural and durable result. A major advantage of the dental implant is that you get a firmly anchored tooth. In addition, you avoid grinding down your other teeth, something that may need to be done if you choose a bridge instead. A denture puts unnecessary strain on your remaining teeth, and this is also avoided when you choose an implant.

Using the latest X-ray equipment, we can measure the exact bone quality and quantity before surgery. As a result, our dentist can plan in advance how the implant and teeth will fit and look. The developed examination, the Orthophos Panoramic X-ray, is performed in just 14 seconds at our clinic. It provides a lower dose of radiation and at the same time a lower cost compared to other methods.

In case of insufficient bone volume, we create a bone build-up with Bio Oss (bone powder or bone blocks) that allows you to avoid bone grafting.

Dental implants - Step by step

Dental implant-pa-AstondentalThe first thing that happens is that we put the titanium screws in place in the jawbone. The treatment takes about 1 hour and is performed under local anesthesia and sedation.. Sedation is not a general anaesthetic, but will keep you asleep throughout the operation.

After 2-6 weeks we install an abutment on the implant.  Depending on the quality of the jawbone, in some cases this step can be performed on the same day as the operation.

Once the titanium screw has healed, we attach the crown to the titanium screw and abutment. The result is natural, and both the feel and look is that of a real tooth.
