Periodontal diseases are caused by bacteria that have not been sufficiently removed when brushing your teeth. The gum easily bleeds, is red, swollen and finally a pocket between the gum and the tooth appears. An inflammation in the gum over a long period of time can cause loss of your teeth.

We can help you with a method suitable to your needs to keep your gum fresh and free from periodontal disease.

If you have lost some of your teeth already or have a periodontal disease we can offer you different treatments, as for example, surgery or a method to facilitate generation of new bone tissue.

Diabetes

Some illnesses like diabetes can increase the risk for periodontal diseases.

During the pregnancy the gum is more sensitive due to the increased hormonal activity. Clean your teeth rigorously during the pregnancy to protect yourself from an inflammation in the gum.

Smoking

More of 50% of the patients with periodontal disease are smokers. Smoking reduces your body’s normal protection towards periodontal disease and delays appearance of the symptoms.
